[Bill Cullen was the host of this quiz show from its
inception in 1956 through the 1964 version; Then for the
Syndicated daytime version Dennis James hosted it from
1972 to 1979;
FBob Barker hosted the most long-running version on
CBS Primetime from 1972 - 2007.
Since 2007 a number of hosts have attempted to fill
Barker's shoes as the producers kept trying to extend
the franchise -- among them were Tom Kennedy, Doug
Davidson and Drew Carey.
