[According to book "Outer Limits: Official Companion" by David
Schow and Jeff Fientzen: in 1963 Dominic Frontiere who was also
Post-Production Director, left the series along with several other
executives of the production company in a dispute. Harry Lubin
was hired as Music Director. In the scramble to find new music,
a previous Harry Lubin composition was recycled as the THEME
for the final 1964/65 season. This THEME was a revised arrangement
of "Weird" -- a frequently-heard CUE Lubin wrote for use behind
the narrator on the weekly introduction to the 1959-61 series
"Alcoa Presents: One Step Beyond", which see.]
