The "Mickey Mouse Mambo" by Jimmie Dodd was named as the THEME
in the TV Guide article "It Seems To Me I've Heard That Theme
Before", July 28, 1956, pp. 12-13; But the "Mambo" seems to
just be a short-lived arrangement of the "Mickey Mouse March."
Old timers will note the similarity between the portion of the
song which goes...
M - I - C, K - E - Y, M - O - U - S - E... and the melody of
M - I - S, S - I - S, S - I - P - P - I... from the vaudeville
song "Mississippi", the signature song of Frances White; Perhaps
this was an "in joke" or just an unconscious derivation...]
