    [James Franciscus played the role of James Hunter, a bookstore owner
     who is selected to join a team of "secret government operatives" --
     shades of "Mission Impossible"; unfortunately this team sank with
     the ratings which made it impossible to continue...

     This was the second of three U. S. Series which had the title
     of "The Hunter" or "Hunter"...not to be confused with the 1984
     Stephen Cannell series "Hunter" starring Fred Dryer which had 
     a THEME by Mike Post and Pete Carpenter]
