     Although not much was detailed about the fictional China
     Smith's "affairs" with women except he treated them as
     disposable, Dan Duryea was the star of this action-adventure
     series set loosely in and around the island nation of Singapore;

     Duryea played a rather unscrupulous Irish rogue -- but this
     anti-hero character in his job as a professional "soldier of
     fortune" managed to find and rout out bad guys who had worse
     character traits than he -- they were international Communists
     or other vermin villains of the 1950s]
