Underdog (cartoon, voiced by Wally Cox)

    (NBC Saturday Mornings, 1964 - 1966;
     CBS Saturday Mornings, 1966 - 1968;
     NBC Saturday Mornings, 1968 - 1973)

    [the lead character in this 1960s cartoon was voiced by one
     of the most recognizeable characters from 1950's television --
     the mild-mannered Wally Cox who had starred in "Mr. Peepers."

     The cartoon bounced from network to network but enjoyed an
     amazing nine-year run.]
