Topper (situation comedy, with Leo G. Carroll)

    (CBS Primetime, 1953 - 1955;
     Rerun on ABC, 1956 - 1957;
     Rerun on NBC, 1956)

    [This charming fantasy was drawn from the original 1937 motion
     picture; The TV series starred Leo G. Carroll as the old-
     fashioned courtly but rather befuddled banker named Cosmo
     Topper who can see and hear the ghosts of former clients --
     a young rich couple who died in a skiing accident, who seem
     to delight in getting into situations which embarass Topper;

     Their dog -- a ghost of a St. Bernard named Neil who seems to
     like finding, spilling and drinking alcohol -- also adds
     to the regular fracas; Topper's perpetually bewildered wife
     Henrietta was played by character actress Lee Patrick; The
     happy-go-lucky young couple who died too soon were played
     with cavalier charm by Robert Sterling and Anne Jeffreys]
