    (Version 1: NBC Primetime, 1956 - 1959; NBC Daytime 1957 - 1959;
     Version 2: CBS Daytime, 1978;
                Syndicated Evening, 1978 - 1986, as "The New Tic Tac Dough";
     Version 3: Syndicated, 1990 - 1991)

    [This game show was based upon the children's game of tic-tac-toe;

     Three versions of the series were produced by Barry & Enright
     Productions, who became notorious when their series "Twenty-One"
     was the focus of the national "rigged quiz show scandal" (as
     dramatized in the movie "Quiz Show");

     The first version on NBC was hosted by Jack Barry, Gene Rayburn
         and then Bill Wendell;

     The second version on CBS Daytime/Syndicated Evenings was hosted by
         Wink Martindale in 1978, then by Jim Caldwell for the 1986 season;

     The final 1990 Syndicated revival version was hosted by actor
         Patrick Wayne (son of John Wayne)]
