Those Amazing Animals (documentary)

     (ABC Sunday Nights, 1980 - 1981)

     [This was the kind of prototypical reality show for animals,
      which was a forerunner of such shows on the "Animal Planet"
      cable network and others much later...it premiered the same
      year as ABC's "That's Incredible" which was the reality show
      answer to NBC's "Real People";

      The series was aimed at younger viewers, with filmed segments
      hosted by a variety of personalities including Burgess Meredith
      who had played The Penguin character on "Batman", Jim Stafford
      who composed and sang the song "Spiders and Snakes", Joan Embry
      from the San Diego Zoo, oceanographer Jacques-Costeau, and
      Priscilla Presley whose connection to the animal world cannot
      be established (perhaps it was the animal magnetism of Elvis
      that was supposed to be the connection... :-)]
