    [This show with the Ray Bloch Orchestra gave six songwriters
     a chance to hear their songs performed before a panel of
     judges consisting of music industry professionals; the
     winner received a cash prize and a chance at publication; 

     This was derived from the radio show of the same name; the
     host was Jan Murray who was replaced by Steve Allen in the
     summer of 1951;

     Jan Murray and the Ray Bloch Orchestra also were featured
     in another musical quiz which began on television in 1950,
