     aka: "Boxing from Madison Square Garden"]

    (CBS Primetime, 1947 - 1950;
     Dumont Primetime, 1950)

    [this was one of the "killer apps" of television in its early
     days; not sure why boxing was such a hit, except that with
     lenses the TV camera could get closer than most spectactors
     ringside; and many TV sets were in bars in the early days;
     it was often confused with "The Gillette Cavalcade of Sports"
     which was sometimes known as "The Friday Night Fights"]
