(NBC Primetime, 1952- 1955) [The story was about a mild-mannered high school science teacher, the epitome of a "Casper Milktoast." It was played by Wally Cox, a character actor who could well play the role with a nerdy voice. But inexplicably Cox was, in real life, quite a ladies man, a former roommate and lifelong friend of Marlon Brando; After "Mr. Peepers" was cancelled, Wally Cox was given another sitcom -- "The Adventures of Hiram Holiday" (1956 - 1957) which lasted one season ; His longest-lasting gig was the voice of the lead role in the cartoon "Underdog", which lasted for nine seasons (1964 to 1973.)]
