(ABC Primetime, 1961 - 62) [A single-season sitcom -- about a teenage girl growing up in New England in the 1920's; although the TV series was loosely based upon a theatrical film of the 1940s starring Jean Crain which had the same characters and setting, the producers tried to make the situation analogous to the problems of growing up in the 1960s -- comparing them to those of the "Roaring Twenties"; and although the problems of keeping pot smoking from your parents could be compared to the problems of keeping them from knowing about your bathtub gin, apparently there were not enough people in the audience who saw these similarities or cared, to keep the show on the air.
