    [This drama centered around an archetypal pioneering family
     during the 1870s, drawn from the books of Laura Ingalls
     Wilder; The star and executive producer was Michael Landon,
     and other cast-members included Karen Grassle as his wife,
     daughters played by Melissa Sue Anderson and Melissa Gilbert,
     and various other character actors including Victor French,
     Richard Bull, Bonnie Bartlett and others;

     In 1982, the series was resurrected in a slightly different
     format which was called "Little House: A New Beginning" in
     which Landon's appearances were less frequent; and following
     the final season several specials were broadcast]
