The Joey Bishop Show [#2] (talk show)

    (ABC Primetime, 1967 - 1969)

    [Two years after the demise of the sitcom also called "The
     Joey Bishop Show" produced by Danny Thomas' production company
     which aired on both NBC and later CBS, Joey Bishop had an
     opportunity to take over a late-night spot previously
     occupied by Les Crane on ABC;

     His tenure lasted two years, and eventually this spot was
     taken over by Dick Cavett;

     Joey's sidekick was Regis Philbin, who later went on to
     host "Live with Regis and Kathy Lee" and "Who Wants To
     Be A Millionaire"; The Johnny Mann Orchestra and Singers
     provided music]

     a 16-bar Play-on (walk-on music for the host) using a bit of this melody
     from the Loesser musical; using a Johnny Warrington stock arrangement. He
     remembers the studio band as including lead guitarist Herb Ellis, pianist
