Crime Photographer (crime drama)

     (CBS, 1951 - 1952)

    [based upon the CBS radio series "Casey, Crime Photographer", 
     which had several other titles during its radio run from 
     1943 - 1955, including "Flashgun Casey", "Casey, Press 
     Photographer" and "Crime Photographer";

     The title role was originally played by Richard Carlyle, 
     but he was replaced mid-season by Darren McGavin (who later
     played a similar role in "The Night Stalker" mysteries); 

     The same premise -- of a freelance photographer who helps
     solve crimes -- was also exploited in the 1958 ABC series
     "Man With A Camera" starring Charles Bronson, which see]
