The Chrysler Theatre/Bob Hope Specials (dramatic anthology/comedy-variety)

     [original title: "Bob Hope Presents The Chrysler Theatre"; and
      comedy-var. shows titled: "Chrysler Presents a Bob Hope Special";
      dramatic anthology epsides syndicated under the title:
      "Universal Star Time"]

     [the series began as a dramatic anthology with Bob Hope
      introducing the dramatic episodes and occasionally
      playing dramatic roles in them; sometimes these shows
      were comedy variety specials and other events more
      like a traditional Bob Hope Special show with guests.]

     (NBC Primetime, 1963 - 1967)

Theme 1: "The Chrysler Theatre Theme"

    [BMI alternate title:    "Chrysler Theatre";
     Copyright notice title: "The Chrysler Theatre Theme",
                             from "The Chrysler Theatre";
     Title on Manuscript: "Bob Hope Presents
                              The Chrysler Theatre Theme" including
                             "Thanks For The Memory".]

    [Although credit is given on the manuscript to "Thanks For The
     Memory", this THEME only has the briefest resemblance to the
     old Bob Hope-associated song.

     Most of this theme is original material - a "studio marquee"
     bright tempo intro seques into a broad dramatic theme which
     might be thought of as a very loose "interpretation" of
     the motif of "Thanks For The Memory". It is actually vintage
     Johnny Williams in the best tradition.]
