C B S N.F.L. Sports Coverage (football)
(CBS Regular Season NFL football, 1964 - 1968)
[CBS paid millions for the rights to broadcast coverage of the NFL
regular season games during the mid-1960s. During the 1968/69
season, when NBC won the rights, they committed a monumental
gaffe by truncating the last 8 minutes of game coverage so
the network movie "Heidi" could start on time...and never
heard the end of it from fans.]
