Brains and Brawn (game show)
(NBC Primetime, 1958)
[This was a short-lived game show which had an ambitious
format: two contestants -- one playing the "brawn" portion
and a celebrity contestant playing the "brain" portion
comprised a team which competed with another team to win
prizes; as if that wasn't complicated enough, there were
also two hosts -- Fred Davis hosted the "Brain" portion,
and Jack Lescoulie hosted the "Brawn" portion; perhaps its
complexity was part of the reason this series went away
fast after just three months]
Theme: "Brains and Brawn Theme"
[above is title as listed in the ASCAP Ace database; Garisto
was a New York pianist/leader of the Metropolitan Jazz Quartet
who is thought to have composed the first NBC Peacock Logo
music in 1956 (but this is so far unconfirmed)]
