Newhart (sitcom, starring Bob Newhart)

     [the third of three network series featuring "The Button-down
      Mind of Bob Newhart" who began as an intellectual comedian
      with a number of hit comedy records in the 1950s; this series
      was produced by the production company MTM, owned by Grant
      Tinker and his wife Mary Tyler Moore; in this series, Bob
      plays Dick Loudon, a successful author of "How-To" books
      who retires to New England and buys an inn in Vermont; his
      co-star Mary Frann played his wife Joanna; other regulars
      included a curious bunch of brothers who were known only as
      "Larry and his brother Darryl and his other brother Darryl",
      and veteran TV comedian Tom Poston who played a slow-witted
      caretaker]
