Accidental Family (sitcom, starring Jerry Van Dyke)

     (NBC Primetime, 1967 - 1968)

[the star of this sitcom (who was the brother of Dick Van Dyke)
played a widow who moves to Las Vegas; and while he is at work
his tenant who is a divorcee with a daughter takes care of his
son; although The Brady Bunch had a similarly contrived premise
perhaps the intracy of this contrivance contributed to the
      short lifetime of this series.]
