N B C Sunrise / Early Today (daytime/news)

     (As "N B C Sunrise": NBC Daytime, 1974 - 1982;
      as "Early Today" I: NBC Daytime, 1982 - 1983;
      as "N B C News At Sunrise": NBC Daytime, 1983 - 1999
      as "Early Today" II: NBC Daytime, 1999 to present)

     [This show, which aired before the NBC "Today Show", began as a
      kind of hybrid of light news, interviews and features under
      the title of "N B C Sunrise", but was succeeded in 1982 by the
      first show to use the title "Early Today"; but it lasted only
      one year until the show was re-vamped again as a news show in
      1983 under the title "N B C News At Sunrise" (see also "NBC News")
      this incarnation featured a news team anchored by Connie Chung; 
      Eventually the name "Early Today" returned to this time slot 
      more as a business-news "heads-up" kind of show in 1999.]
